A Dream Come True

As a long-time dream of the owners Chuck and Lisa Whitman, The Shack of Sanibel was built for customers to not only enjoy quality, Fresh Frozen Custard, but also was designed for visitors and residents to have a place to relax from morning until evening with their friends and families. Chuck and Lisa wanted to create a place that helped support the community where they live as well as give back to the great communities of the islands. Customers can always enjoy a free sample when they visit or customize their own unique flavor with our quality toppings and custard. Cooling off inside our air-conditioned 40-foot ceiling seating area or sitting outside on our patio or under the ceiling fans on our porch. The Shack is the newest and coolest place to be.

1219 Periwinkle Way originally started its life as gas station. Then for many years it found itself just an empty lot on the East end of the Island where lizards roamed free. Finally in May of 2021 - 1219 Periwinkle Way has found home as the perfect place for community to gather and enjoy Fresh, Frozen Custard on Sanibel Island.
